Post subject:  Post marks & Archer-perforated stamps

After reading Ray Simpsons fine article in the GB Journal, I was prompted to take a look at my two specimens. A pair of plate 102 (? plated by me) have a numeral postmark 90 bracketed between six pointed stars i.e. *90* not unlike the Edinburgh cancellation of 1850 i.e. *131* with which I am quite familiar. Can anyone enlighten me as to the origin of this postmark and is it contemporary with Archer perforation?
