 Post subject: Gum type £1 PUC?

Sorry, for some reason the message did not list. I would like to know what the gum type is on the £1 PUC. And if it is normal for the gum to go brown. Unlike the£1 Green of EDVII, which seems to stay clear. If someone could help with this, I would be grateful.

As far as I know, all these early 20th century stamps were gum arabic?
