An Act for authorizing the Assistant Secretary to the Postmaster General to send and receive Letters and Packets free from the Duty on Postage.

'WHEREAS it is expedient that the Assistant Secretary to the Postmaster General should be authorized to send and receive Letters and Packets by the Post free from Postage;' Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority of the same, That,from and after the passing of this Act, it shall be lawful for the Assistant Secretary to the Postmaster General for the time being to send and receive Letters and Packets by the Post free from the Day of Postage, in the same manner as the Secretary to the Postmaster General for the time being is authorized by Law to send and receive Letters and Packets free from Postage.
