[Test post on new Board] SG Spec. N7i, 1d Die 1a, Philatelic Plate 9. Was this variable flaw caused by damage to the plate or another fault in production, specifically faulty make-ready on the impression cylinder?

Hi Mike, nice Downey Control! Looking very nice indeed! :D

I am in my studio in Toronto, no catalogues here unfortunately, but I would like to clear up what you are referring to. Does the flaw involve the 'P' of "PENNY" on the middle stamp?

Looking forward to this Forum, Thanks for the invite to check it out! 8-)

Have a good one,

Skilo54
