1867 1s green

Post by alexiosp »

Hello all,

I read in the SG QV specialized:

"The green ink used for some printings of J104/114 contained an unstable yellow element which could be removed to produce a blue colour changeling"

Does this mean that these stamps also exist in blue instead of green? Any pictures please?

Thanks in advance and keep safe.

Don't have one handy, but I've definitely seen examples that have gone partly blue. Can't recall one that has gone "all the way" like the "blue" ½d Jubilees, but I wouldn't be particularly surprised if some are around.
