CORNER LINES FIVE SHILLING SG477

Post by MIKE »

Can anyone explain the purpose of the red right angle lines found in the top corners of the five shilling high value (SG477) - at present I presume they are for cutting reasons and would therefore be in appropriate corner positions. I have four examples and with varying degrees of definition, most being chopped by perforations.
