Hello All,
I am looking for information on the booklet pane shown here.
It is listed by Mike Holt in his price list number 25 as USB9 with perforation PAP1a.
I have a rather old (6th Edition – July 1991) G.B. Volume 4 specialised catalogue
but can find no reference to this perforation type.
As can be seen from the scan there is a break about the size of two perforation holes in the left hand selvedge opposite the central row of perforations.
Does anyone have a more recent edition in which they could check if it is listed now and if so under what perforation type?
Any help appreciated.
Regards.
Ron.

Perforation type PAP1a is a description coming from 'The Bookmark' Catalogue, published by the MBPC (Modern British Philatelic Circle). This perforation type is described in G.B. Volume 4 specialised catalogue as "Type APP" derived from the Second Perforator, State 1 (AP/P/APP). Your illustration shows a variety of "Type APP" and this is described on page 460 of the 6th Edition as follows: "One of the heads suffered a broken pin in the extra row of vertical perforations opposite the imperf. row of horizontal perforations. This was not intentional and we do not list it."

I hope this answers your question,
Hanns

Hello Hanns
Many thanks for that and I have found the description and note re that non listed perf. that you explained.
I was confused with the APP/PAP1a.
You have sorted me out though, much appreciated. :)
Thanks again
