Normally i collect GV1 and recently was talking to my father about Harrison and son cards as I mentioned that they were interesting. He was given a complete set of the 1964 shakespeare stamps on individual Harrison cards including the 2/6 which is imperforate. Theses were given to him by an elderly aunt who owned a house in London where the Postmaster general at the time rented a room the 'General Mr Reginald Bevins'. He knew that she used to live in Chatswood for many years and was a great Shakespeare fan.
Each card seems to have a code at the top and no where either in Gibbons or previous Grosvenor auctions has there been any mention of the 2/6 imperf.

Is there anyone who can shed any more light on these cards.

regards

Owen

These would not be produced to give to anyone. They would be for internal use only.
Probably the 2/6 was also included imperf. since it was from a different printer. When requested for a sample they would not know whether perforated or imperf was needed (or maybe they did not have any perforated at that time).
