Calling all Steam Buffs. Technical Error or Not?. Can anyone explain why the central stamp of the three locomotives depicted in the Letters By Night Prestige Booklet is power classified as 8k when in fact all heavy freight engines were classified as 8f meaning Class 8 Freight. The locomotive here shown is a Great Central O4 as originally designed by George Robinson and built at Gorton Works Manchester and Preserved at the Loughborough Railway Centre.
