Closure of the Stamp Magazine forum

Post by Wilding Mad »

Notification of the closure relating to the open forum of the Stamp Magazine was given by Guy Thomas (editor of Stamp Magazine) on the 5th of April.
His statement is as follows >

No specific date has yet been given, only that by the end of April the forum will cease to exist.
It has been speculated the reason for the closure relates to a lack of income/revenue from advertisers that use the site or the lack of them to sustain its existence.
In the meantime, as to when and what the new site will be like is open to speculation.
Should you wish to copy any articles on this site I suggest that you do it ASAP before all records are deleted. The site can be accessed via the following link should you care to do so. >

It would seem that the closure date for the Stamp Magazine forum given by the editor of Stamp Magazine as being the 1st of May has been and gone, this was the statement made by Guy Thomas on the 19th of April, yet the forum still appears to be open.

As Tonto would have said in the lone ranger "paleface speak with forked tongue"

No rectifying statement has yet been made

This is a copy of the statement made ↓

The current target date for the move to a new platform, and therefore closure of these forums, is May 1.
