Paper production

Post by MikeOsborne »

As I understand it, the paper used was supplied to the printers in individual sheets. However the word POSTAGE and the Mould Marks A2, B2 etc do not appear in the same position in relation to Control blocks. This suggests that the paper was manufactured in a size larger than a single sheet and then cut down to sheet size. Can anyone enlighten me as to the original size of the paper please.
