Fifty pounds to be given for the apprehension and conviction of mail robbers

In order to encourage the immediate Pursuit of Mail-Robbers, a Reward of FIFTY POUNDS will be paid out of the Revenue of this Office, for the apprehending of every Person who shall hereafter rob and be convicted of robbing in the King's Highway, any of His Majesty's Mails of any Bag or Mail of Letters sent by the Post in Great-Britain or Ireland, although the Offender shall be apprehended before any Advertisement or Notice of such Robbery is issued from this Office.
