In the January 2008 edition of Stamp magazine, there was a reference to a CD of scans of 'Advert' booklet panes from KGV onwards, from a Graham Wilson, with an e-mail address. Unfortunately, e-mails to that address bounce ! Does anyone know whether this is still available, please, and if so from whom or where ?
TIA
Also, on a related topic, Stanley Gibbons used to sell a CD-Rom of their back numbers, but when I e-mailed them for details, I was told that too was unavailable. Again, has anyone any idea how I could obtain a copy, please ?
Again, TIA
Tony

Hi
Sorry I can't help, there is no G Wilson in my admittedly rather ancient list of members in respect of the booklets CD. However Jean Alexander and/or Ian Harvey would be a good bet. Not sure if I'm allowed to give Ian's email address on this Board, but it's on the GBPS Programme card.
As to the SG CD-rom, rather an unhelpful reply, keep trying
Cheers

Dear Tony,
Can't help with the CD-Rom of booklet ad panes, which sounds very interesting. I can help with the SG Back issues CD. I bought it with a view to research on all mentions of two items I'm deep into, but was very disappointed. So, I have the discs and no use for them. Beware however, they are very difficult to use, no indices and no guide on how to find anything - as far as I could tell!
Unfortunately they are in England and we're in South America. If you do not have a set by the end of April, contact me direct at robinrestall@gmail.com and I'll look them out for you.
Good luck, Robin

The CD of advert booklet panes was still available as of last year (2012), but the author's email address changed as follows

Further update - Graham Wilson has responded to my e-Mail, and we have exchanged addresses.
Thanks to Paul for Graham's e-mail address.

Yet another update - been using this almost daily since receiving it, and it is most helpful as an adjunct to the 'Specialised' - highly recommended
