Hi, can anyone direct me to a source where I can get the earliest and latest known use for cancels used during the Victorian period? Thanks in advance.

Earliest and latest use of cancels
Re: Earliest and latest use of cancels
Mike,
That's a very large area & I can't think of a single source.
For starters (up to but excluding squared circles & CDSs) my suggestions would be:-
MX Specials - Rockoff & Jackson, Encyclopedia of the Maltese Cross Cancellations
London numerals, see Parmenter at https://www.gbps.org.uk/information/dow ... ations.php
England & Wales barred numerals, go via this link https://www.gbps.org.uk/information/dow ... rkings.php and see the section on Barred Numeral Cancellations.
Scots numerals start date. If you have any of June or July 1844, suggest you contact Howard Hughes (our past President & current advertising manager) to exchange details
