Perforation Type E Diagram

Post by mcornes »

I could well be blind, but in going through Appendix I of SG's Vol4 Part 1, I see diagrams of all the perforators, but I do not see a diagram for Type "E'. Did I miss it? If some has one I could really use a version the same as the others for my presentation.
Thanks in advance.

Martin, you are correct that there is not a diagram of perf E in Vol 4, Part 1. Part of the reason for this is that perf E was never used on QEII panes from stitched booklets between 1952 and 1975. If you want an actual diagram, go to Vol 2, Appendix 1 which shows perf E (noting it was originally called Type B). But, by reference to your previous question, you seem to be showing panes from stitched Machin books so I would suggest that perf E is irrelevant. However, perf E was used in the margins of folder books from 1976, see many images of the 50p vending books, counter, Christmas books etc. Obviously all of these are reel perforated, usually with an extension perf hole each side of the sheet.

Thanks for solving my quest! I think E was used for folded booklets correct?
