Re: Jersey/Guernsey/Glasgow cancels on HV
Brilliant, thank you. And I wondered why the heavy dirty parcel post copies which are considerably obliterated, still command premium prices, unlike lower values. Obviously postally used and scarcer.
Thanks again

Jersey/Guernsey/Glasgow cancels on HV
Hi guys, Something I feel I should know but don’t. I’m currently looking to buy a £1 green seahorse, and have noticed that there is a large number of Channel Islands and Glasgow cancels on this and other high vials such as the £5 orange, 1883 £1 and the KEVII £1 green. Why the plethora? We’re they p...

Censor mark?
Hi all
I have a postcard London to Belgium, 1915. It bears this unusual strike I don’t recognise. Any ideas? Is it a censor mark? Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Double strike maltese cross
Thanks. Ive never had one so its added to my collection. I suspected it was a 'lighter' copy of the front, but it intrigues me that the office receiving would stamp both front and back. The only one in my collection that has that.

Re: Penny red folded paper fault
Cheers buddy. agree, term rare is a bit OTT. Never parting with it- bought it at a stamp fair in North Wales when I was about 12. Fell in love with faults and have collected them ever since. But never strayed in to scarcity or value. Bought for beauty. Recollect I bought it for 25p which was 5 times...

Postal Routing mystery
Hi everyone I'm interested in, and collect all things, postally connected to Chingford( East London/Essex). This cover Shows "TP Chingford" and assume it originated there. Chingford was a receiving office covered by Woodford. ( The 53 cancellation on the lower stamp confirms this. ) I assu...

Double strike maltese cross
Hi everyone Picked up an envelope recently with a nice bold Maltese cross on the front. The wrapper contents suggest is posted from Paddington, to Bank, London. 1842. However, the reason for the purchase, and interest, is the double line Maltese cross on the back. Ive never owned one so picked it up...
