Dear Petrod,
I have found a match in Rockoff and Jackson's Maltese Cross Encyclopedia (Vol 1) and they list it as Liverpool in November 1843.
Thanks for your plating assistance, hope you concur with the images.

Dear Petrod,
Thanks for your help, I read somewhere that dots in MXs could be Moffat, Kilmarnock, Glasgow or Liverpool. So will go with Kilmarnock for now.
Thanks,
Richard

CASTLE STREET Postmark?
I assume the partial Postmark relates to 'CASTLE STREET', if so can anyone tell me where the street is? For some reason I seem to recollect Edinburgh, would that be correct and if so why was it used in preference to the normal '131' strike?
Any help would be welcome.
Thanks,
Richard.

Maltese Cross - Cromarty, Ross & Cromarty
I have an entire from Cromarty to Dingwall dated 4th Jan 1843 and so assumed the Maltese Cross strike on the piece was from Cromarty, however despite searching through the Encyclopedia of the Maltese Cross (all 3 volumes), I can find no mention of a Cromarty MX. Cromarty was in the 17th century a ma...
