Following the announcement that we intended to run a series of virtual meetings at the start of the new season, this is to bring you up to speed with the emerging programme and invite your participation. We will be using the Zoom platform as this seems to be one that most members are familiar with.
All meetings are at 2pm.

How to Participate
In order to take part, members will need to register for the individual meeting (please note the number of attendees is limited to 100 under the terms of our Zoom licence. Details will be circulated by email – to make sure you get them, please email me to express your wish to participate at email@example.com as soon as possible.
Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and we would ask members to only indicate their wish to attend when they are confident they can do so. Also, if circumstances change, and it becomes impossible to attend, please let me know in case any members are on a waiting list.
Meetings will be recorded and will be available on our YouTube Channel afterwards.
The meeting room will be open 30 minutes before the meeting starts and we would encourage members to attend early in order to ensure functionality of their connection. Teething problems can be dealt with during this time.
In any event, members are requested to arrive before the official start time to avoid disruption.
Members attending meetings will be asked to adhere to the meeting rules which will be sent to them in advance and which will be displayed at the start of the meeting. These will include the requirement to remain muted throughout the presentation and to only unmute when specifically requested to do so. Chat and hand raising functions are available and members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with them.
It is anticipated that meetings will last about an hour with up to 45 minutes for presentations and 15 minutes for questions.
If any member believes they have expressed an interest to attend and received no further communication from me two weeks before the meeting, please let me know.
We will also use this opportunity to update members’ email addresses on our system to help keep you informed of Society matters (unless you instruct us otherwise).
We will need to keep under review the necessity for further virtual meetings this season and will continue to explore the role of virtual meetings and virtual links to traditional meetings moving forwards.

We thank you in advance for you anticipated support of this venture and look forward to seeing many new faces over the coming months. The usual old faces are, of course, equally welcome but please put your teeth in and try to look welcoming.
