Hi, fellow collectors,
I am curious to know how any of our members feel about the image that is sometimes
portrayed or stated regarding Philatelists in general. There are many reasons that i dont
usually tell anyone about my interest in this area unless i am asked to look over a collection or some casual question.
The image portrayed is rather negative , and is stereotypical, usually an elderly male
with a magnifying glass . I do appreciate that it isnt a serious condemnation of our hobby, only a light hearted observation .
Has anyone got any opinions ? please let me know, i would appreciate any reply.

Hello,
I agree with you regarding the image of a collector, as can be seen on this article on our website (non commercial, information only)
http://www.earsathome.com/fun.html
It is good to see the club days getting back after all the restrictions of Covid etc.
I keep up to date with the stamps magazines, Australian and UK.
Regards,
Ron.
